Are you finding it hard to accept and adapt to life with a disability?

Do you find yourself wishing that disability wasn’t part of your life?

And do you sometimes feel like everyone else has it so much easier than you do?

Are you wondering if you will ever be able to achieve your goals and ambitions?

And as someone who has put their faith in Jesus, are you wondering why you haven’t received your ‘healing’ yet?

My answer, at different points in my life, has been ‘YES’ to all of the above.

I’m Bambi, wife, mum and Disability Empowerment and Inclusion Leader, and I have lived with the challenges that comes with having a visual impairment while remaining rooted in my faith as a Christian for the past 30 years.

And after all these years, here is what I have learned and come to believe…

  • I believe that when you truly understand that your identity and hope for the future is found in Christ alone, you can take pride in the unique way that you have been created and lean in to achieve the specific things that you have been created to do.

  • I believe that you can create systems and develop practices that meet your specific needs and help life run a little smoother.

  • I believe that by staying rooted in the Word of God, you can live in the peace of knowing that even though you may not yet have experienced the healing you have been praying for, you can be confident in the fact that as you live and breathe today, the miracle that is your life and your potential is already here.

So even though I might find it hard to see you on the outside , I have a fairly good idea about what’s going on on the inside.

What I can see is how the limitations you are facing are preventing you from realising your potential.

I can see how you are working hard and trying your best to be the person and do the things in a way that the world considers to be ‘acceptable’.

And I can see that you dream about being able to do great things and that you have also been created with the ability to do those things, in spite of the difficulties you face.

You’ll be in good company here and together we will work on…

  • RESTORING and building upon your identity in Christ (who you are and what your purpose is);

  • EQUIPPING you with the skills, knowledge and understanding you need, so that you can make progress in every area of your life;

  • helping you EVOLVE into the person you have been created to be, and;

  • your GROWTH , providing the support you need as you develop along the way.
